We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with STEVE JAMES to direct The Ride of Their Lives - a short documentary film about the world of youth rodeo bull riding.

The Ride of Their Lives is part of Amazon's new series, The New Yorker Presents, and premiered at Sundance in January

Steve, one of the most critically acclaimed and influential documentary filmmakers of our era, has built an incredible career crafting moving films about underrepresented individuals and communities in America, including Hoop Dreams, The Interrupters, Stevie, and the PBS Series: The New Americans among many others. As a bonus, he's an incredibly nice guy and fantastic to work with.

Youth rodeo bull riding has been in the spotlight lately with the publication of The New Yorker article, The Ride of Their Lives, which was inspired in part by our documentary film project and written by the talented Burkhard Bilger, with beautiful photographs by Jonno Rattman. The New York Times also recently published a compelling article about a multigenerational family of cattle ranchers and rodeo bronc riders.

We are excited to see growing media awareness about these moving stories from the American heartland and, together with Steve, we look forward to bringing The Ride of Their Lives to audiences on Amazon beginning February 16th.
